Schedule and Information

Public observing dates for Spring 2022 term are below. NOTE: PUBLIC OBSERVING IS HELD ON THURSDAYS!

  • March 17, 24, 31 – 8:00 pm
  • April 7, 14, 21, 28 – 8:30 pm
  • May 5, 12, 19 – 9:00pm

Public nights are free and open to members of the Bennington College community. Public observing typically runs for approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on the number of people who show up. Also, public observing is “weather permitting,” so please make sure to check back on the home page, our Facebook Page or on twitter (@StickneyObs) after 5pm on the day of the observing to see if we will be able to observe that night.

    I and my wife are interested to participate in public observing events in near future since we both love to know more about sky and new discoveries taking places in sky and star and it’s always fun to see stargazing…hope to hear back from you soon on tour august schedule for sky observing events…thanks, Nirmal and Himanshi
