Clouds look like they’re going to stick around through the evening at least, so we won’t have observing tonight. We will try again next, on Thursday, November 2, starting at our earlier time of 7pm. Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies and we’ll hope to see you at the observatory!

Public observing starts this week! We will observe most Thursday nights (see the schedule for details) that it is clear, starting at 7:30pm in October, then 7:00pm in November and December. Please come out and observe the skies (but make sure to check back here after 5pm on the day of observing for a weather update).
Stickney Observatory is closed for the summer as we complete necessary maintenance on our telescopes and prepare for the next academic year. Public observing will resume in early October, 2023. Have a great summer and we hope to see you in the Fall!
