Stickney Observatory at Bennington College

Public observing starts this week! We will observe most Thursday nights (see the schedule for details) that it is clear, starting at 7:30pm in October, then 7:00pm in November and December. Please come out and observe the skies (but make sure to check back here after 5pm on the day of observing for a weather update).

Stickney Observatory is closed for the summer as we complete necessary maintenance on our telescopes and prepare for the next academic year. Public observing will resume in early October, 2023. Have a great summer and we hope to see you in the Fall!

The forecast looks pretty good for tonight so there will be Public Observing! It might not be the clearest night because there’s still some smoke in the atmosphere, but we’ll give it a try anyway! Let’s meet at Stickney around 9:15pm! See you guys soon!
