Observing to resume in the Spring Term

The observatory is closed to the public during Bennington’s Field Work Term. Public observing will resume once our Spring term starts, likely in late February or early March. Information will be posted here once observing resumes!

Observatory will re-open in late September

The observatory is closed for the summer, so we can do maintenance and students can carry out summer projects. We aim to re-open in late September, after the Fall term resumes.

No Public Observing this week (April 28)

In a bit of supreme irony, the weather forecast looks great for this Thursday. However, because of the current COVID case counts on campus, we cannot hold in-person public events this week. Hopefully things will work out better next week!
